Record-breaking means different things to different people, and to Carstar Autobody Repair Experts, this means besting their 2009 Guinness World Records® title!
During Carstar’s 2011 National Car Wash Fundraiser event, the organization improved upon their previous achievement - 4,105 vehicles washed in eight hours at multiple locations - to 4,918.
Guinness World Records® Adjudicator Danny Girton Jr. verified the record attempt from Carstar’s Milford, Ohio venue, and, following a successful outcome, presented the official certificate to Carstar’s Brand and District Managers Melissa Stevens and Keith Foster, respectively.
According to event sources, this event - themed "Wash for a Wish" - was a fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation in the United States as well as for cystic fibrosis in Canada, and some local market charities. $10 USD car wash tickets were sold at participating Carstar stores, with 100% of the ticket purchase to benefit the selected charities; $67,826 USD was raised.
