Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Covers Revealed

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows New upcoming Books Covers Revealed

Scholastic and Bloomsbury, publishers of the wildly popular Harry Potter fantasy novel series, have both revealed the covers for the final tome in the saga, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Scholastic, publisher of the U.S. edition, once again enlisted artist Mary GrandPre to create their cover. The artwork appears to feature Harry and Lord Voldemort facing off in an arena-like setting against an orange-tinted sky. The hero and his nemesis are both seemingly focused on something out of view. Their body language suggests that they're trying to control something using magic, but neither are holding a wand.

UK publisher Bloomsbury is, as usual, releasing a children's cover and an adult cover. The grown-up version features a photograph of what we think is probably Salazar Slytherin's locket, one of the remaining horcruxes.

The cover of the UK kid edition shows the leading trio in a state of distress surrounded by a mountain of treasure. Could they be searching the depths of Gringott's bank for another horcrux?

Interestingly, the front and back insides of the book jacket feature a white stag, which readers will recognize as Harry Potter's patronus, and a large snake (Nagini?) inside a shimmering orb.
We'll all be able to connect the dots on all these things when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows arrives on July 21.

How To Wear a Indian Saree (Sari) - Learn in Easy Seven Steps.

Step 1

At least part of the secret of the sari are the "underneath" garments - a waist -to- floor length petticoat, tied tightly at the waist by a drawstring. (No elastic, please!) And a tight fitting blouse that ends just below the bust - short sleeved or sleeveless, with a variety of necklines.

Step 2

Starting at the navel, tuck the plain end of the sari into the petticoat for one complete turn from right to left. Make sure that the lower end of the sari touches the floor.

Step 3 & 4

Beginning from the tucked-in end start making pleats in the sari, about 5 inches deep. Make about 7 to 10 pleats and hold them up together so that they fall straight and even

Step 5

Tuck the pleats into the waist slightly to the left of the navel, and make sure that they are turned towards the left.

Step 6

Drape the remaining fabric around yourself once more left to right, and bring it up under the right arm and over the left shoulder so that it falls to about the level of the knees.

Step 7

The end portion thus draped is the pallav, and can be prevented from slipping off by fixing it at the shoulder to the blouse with a small safety pin.

Power dressing for Indian Women - Nirali Mehta

Power dressing for Indian Women - Nirali Mehta - Youngest Fashion Designer India.

We’ve all heard this term many times and wondered: What is power dressing? And do Indian women need power dressing? They say clothes maketh a man, so why not a woman?

Power dressing is not only for people in power, it is for people who want to be in power. it makes a strong statement that the person has got a takes to be in a position of power. At this difference could mean that you would get promoted over others. In years past, professional indian women were relegated to sarees & salwar kameez.

But in today's more vibrant corporate world, as the accompanying photographs indicate, you shouldn't feel trapped by a basic indian traditional clothing. New options, could include ,linen suits(suiting indian climates),corporate tops, must-have bags and briefcases, and gorgeous scarves, accessories and chic jewellery. In this article, I’ll tell you what clothes to wear when you want to be part of the team yet stand out.

When selecting your workday wardrobe, be aware that every company has its own work environment and often unwritten dress codes. To evaluate the dress code of your office, take a look at the movers and shakers around you. Look at those Sisters who are in the big offices, those who are making decisions in the boardrooms and presented as the "ideal face" of the company. What are they wearing? How are they dressed day in and day out?

These are your fashion templates, the Sisters who have set the pace for what is deemed acceptable attire in your workplace. And more often than not, these power players know that a sophisticated professional look is important to success. Observe the way people react and interact with these power-dressers to know the psychological effects of power dressing.

Importance of colour in power-dressing cannot be underestimated. Firstly, you have to know which colours look good on you. For example, at the Yevva Design Studio, we work with our clients to first determine the signature palette. So firstly:

Ø Get yourself a signature colour.
Ø Determine your signature palette now!

Colour can go a long way in giving you an identity at work.
All pastel shades and medium tones -- like mustard, turquoise blue, deep pink and olive -- are acceptable. Only try striking colours like reds and black if you are comfortable.

Figure out whether you prefer 'cool' or 'warm' colours and build your wardrobe accordingly.
Blues, greens and purple fall under cool colours.
Reds, yellows and browns are warm colours.

The Dos and don'ts for power-dressing for Indian women.

i. Avoid translucent fabrics for tops, and low-neck or tight-fitting blouses.

ii. Cotton or cotton blend shirts work best.

iii. Go for stripes, checks and subtle prints.

iv. Opt for slim-fitting trousers or long, slim pencil skirts as coordinates.

v. Skirts can have either a modest side or back slit.

vi Avoid wearing capris, stretch fabrics and short skirt.

The finishing touches

1. When it comes to jewellery, make sure you do not mix metals. When wearing gold, wear all gold. When wearing silver or platinum, wear all silver/ platinum.

2. Keep jewellery simple and coordinated in design.

3. A chain with a pendant, matching earrings and a bracelet will make you sparkle.

4. Wear a subtle perfume or cologne that suits your personality.

5. Try not to carry your entire world with you in an oversized bag.

6. Invest in medium-sized leather handbags in black, brown and beige to get to the boardroom.

7. High heels are great so long as you can carry yourself well in them. I recommend heels up to an inch or an inch-and-a-half, no more.

Now that you are good to go, good luck on your way up!
