Bhagwad Gita on Gold Pendant by Tanishq Jewellers

Professor Pawan Sinha from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA , has created this Bhagwad Gita tablet. He has patented the technology.

Sinha holds a Limca Book of Records for creating the smallest Bible (1/4th cm sq tablet). Professor Sinha is also the co-founder of Project Prakash, an NGO which helps in correcting congenital cataract in children. A certain portion of the proceeds from the sale of this pendant will be donated towards the project.

Two Year Old Girl's 156 IQ - Elise Tan Roberts

Elise Tan-Roberts, who can also recite the phonetic alphabet and count to 10 in Spanish, has an IQ of 156.

The rating makes her smarter than former Countdown maths whiz and fellow Mensa member Carol Vorderman.

The toddler's other feats include spelling her name aloud, reading the words mummy and daddy, naming all three types of triangle and reciting the normal alphabet.

Mensa welcomes the top 2% of the population based on IQ. It normally only tests children aged 10 or above, but the society accepted Elise's membership based on an intelligence measure.

Child psychologist Professor Joan Freeman used the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale test, which found she was in the top 0.2% of her age in the country.

Mensa chief executive John Stevenage said: "(Elise's parents) now realise they have an interesting challenge on their hands as she grows up."

Elise's mother Louise, 28, from Edmonton, London, said she realised her daughter was different as soon as she was born.

She took "an unusual" interest in her surroundings, uttered her first word aged just five months and took her first steps at eight-and-a-half months.

The mother told the Daily Mirror: "She just says things and you have no idea where she got it from."

Prof Freeman said the child's memory was her great gift.

The psychologist was "extremely impressed she was able to reel off the capital cities" and the phonetic alphabet.

Mensa has about 24,000 members in the UK and Ireland - about 900 of whom are aged under 18.

As well as Carol Vorderman, whose IQ is 154, other famous members include DJ and TV presenter Sir Jimmy Savile and inventor Sir Clive Sinclair.

Amazing News : Cat Adopted New Born Red Panda

A newborn red panda rejected by its mother in Amsterdam's Artis zoo has been adopted by a domestic cat, the zoo said Friday. The cat is nursing the red panda, currently about the size of a kitten, along with her own four kittens, the zoo said.

The red panda was born on June 30 and rejected by its mother soon afterwards. Red pandas look like raccoons and when fully grown are slightly larger than a domestic cat -- substantially smaller than the black and white giant panda.

"They are skilful climbers that, when not foraging on the ground, spend most of their time in the trees curled up with their long, bushy tails wrapped around their heads," the World Wildlife Fund conservation charity said on its website.

Boy survives two-hour flight on plane wing

A 15-year-old boy from the Urals suffered acute frostbite after riding on the wing of a Boeing-737 plane on a two-hour flight from Perm to Moscow, Russian radio station Mayak reported.

After clinging on to the plane's wing for the entire 1,300 km flight to Vnukova Airport, the boy, named Andrei, collapsed on the tarmac.

His arms and legs were so severely frozen that rescuers were at first unable to remove his coat and shoes, the radio station said on Monday.

The airport did not confirm the report. "We have no information on this," the Vnukovo press service said.

However, Moscow's air and water transport control department said the radio's claim was true. A department spokesman said the incident occurred on Friday, and that the boy's parents were immediately informed, and flew to the capital the same day.

Doctors said it was nothing short of a miracle that Andrei survived the flight, with temperatures hitting minus 50 degrees Celsius, the radio station said.

The Boeing-737 has a cruising speed of 900 kmph. The boy reportedly made the journey after a domestic dispute. Angry with his father, who is reportedly an alcoholic, and his mother for siding with her husband in family rows, Andrei ran away to a neighbouring village where his grandmother lives.

On reaching the village, he decided to go on, and hitched a 220 km ride to the regional centre Perm where he was dropped off at the airport.

It remains unclear how Andrei was able to climb on a plane wing unnoticed, and the Perm Airport security service is being asked some serious questions, the radio station said.
Andrei is now being treated in a Moscow hospital, Radio Mayak said.

Dog nurses Tiger triplets at China zoo

It's a dog's life for three newborn tiger triplets in eastern China. The cubs, whom officials at the Jinan Paomaling Wild Animal World in Shandong province are so far just calling "One," "Two" and "Three," have been nursed by a dog since they were rejected by their tiger mother shortly after birth, said Paomaling manager Chen Yucai.

The trio's adoptive mother, a mixed breed farm dog called "Huani," is expected to nurse them for about a month or until their appetites outpace her supply, Chen said.
Chen said it is common for Chinese zoos to use surrogate dog mothers to nurse rejected tiger cubs and that Huani has nursed tigers before.

In the past, Paomaling put dog urine on their rejected cub's fur to make the surrogate think she was nursing one of her own puppies but the zoo didn't bother with Huani because she seemed not to mind nursing the tigers, he said.

"The family is getting along well and seems to enjoy each other," Chen said.
