POGO Amazing Kids Awards winners:

Dishaddra Poddar (13 yrs) from Delhi has bagged the title of POGO Amazing Kids' Awards 2010 in the Artist category. Dishaddra has won over 160 awards in the National and State level participations. He was also awarded the Hindustan Times Pace Awards and given the 1st prize by Rotary club 2010 amongst his other achievements.

Vishnu Ramprasad (14 yrs) from Chennai has bagged the coveted title of POGO Amazing Kids' Awards 2010 in the Musician category. Vishnu plays Blues and Classical Flamenco and is currently a member of two rock bands in Chennai. He has performed in several live shows across Chennai and Bangalore and has plans to release his own music album.

S. Mahadevan (12 yrs) from Trivandrum has won the award of POGO Amazing Kids' Awards 2010 in the Singer category. He has won many awards in the past for his performances and has also participated in IDEA JALSA national talent hunt team where he was selected for the semi final round held in Mumbai.

Tanay Chheda (14 yrs) from Mumbai has won the title of POGO Amazing Kids' Awards 2010 in the Entertainer category. Tanay's most recent performance was in My Name is Khan. He is best known for his performances in critically acclaimed films Taare Zameen Par and Slumdog Millionaire, with the latter earning him the Screen Actors Guild Award.

Priyanshi Somani (11 yrs) from Ajmer has won the title of POGO Amazing Kids' Awards 2010 in the Genius category. Priyanshi was the national and international champion in the 2010 UCMAS mental arithmetic competition and also ranked first in the International Olympiad of Mathematics. In 2003 Priyanshi set a new world record for being the youngest person to pass the Microsoft Server Examination.

Swapnali Yadav (11 yrs) from Mumbai has grabbed the title of POGO Amazing Kids' Awards 2010 in the Sports category. Swapnali has been listed in Limca Book of Records for being the 1st Indian to win The Sound Open Water Official Swimming Competition. Apart from this, she has won many state level and national level championships.

Shraddha Nagaraj (14 yrs) from Bangalore has bagged the coveted title of POGO Amazing Kids' Awards 2010 in the Dancer category. Shraddha is a Bharatanatyam dancer and has given a series of performances in the U.S. and she has participated in all major art / cultural festivals.

Initiated by POGO in December 2004, POGO Amazing Kids Awards is India's first-ever kids' television award. The Awards recognise child prodigies and reward them for their outstanding achievements in multiple areas of excellence such as arts, leadership and sports. Like every year, POGO invited nominations from parents and principals of meritorious kids as well as self-nominations from children who felt they deserve the award in a particular category. The seven categories of POGO Amazing Kids' Awards 2010 received hundreds of nominations from all across India.

1482 Push ups in 40 minutes World Record set by Indian Kids

Ronak Atul Vitha, a five year old kid is popularly known as Chhota Ghajini or Little Ghajini. Ghajini – a bollywood film was a blockbuster for few reasons, one of them being Aamir Khan, the leading character’s eight pack body.

When he was 2.5 years old, he watched Ghajini for the first time. This evoked in him the desire to develop his body like Aamir Khan as seen in it. His mother Ruchi Atul Vitha says “He easily imitated few Yoga Asanas when he was only 2 years old. This made us aware about the flexibility of his physique.”

Later on he started with 10 push ups everyday, which with practice increased to 50 in just one week’s time. He also started hanging on the iron road.

Asia Book of Records has awarded him as “Push Ups Master” for his achievement of performing 1482 pushups within 40 minutes only. He is given the physical training by body trainer Satyajit Chaurasia, who helped Aamir Khan in developing an eight pack physique.

He is very much fond of watching the film Ghajini. Whenever it is being shown on television, he watches it with full concentration. Her mother adds “After watching Ghajini film, we could see increase in number of pushups which reached to 100 everyday when he was 2.5 years old.”

He is born on July 15, 2005 and studies in Senior KG. His father Atul M. Vitha lives in Mumbai.

Four Years Old Girl Writing Alphabet in 13 Language in India set World Record

M Shalini, a LKG student at Rotary school in Mysore has a innate ability to write with both  hands at a time. Through her left hand she does a mirror writing, even as she is able to present the alphabet in a common way using her right hand simultaneously. She is able to write Kannada, English, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Gujarati, Assamese, Punjabi, Oriya, Tulu (recently created by a scholar), Urdu and Bengali alphabets.

She is the daughter of Latha and Manjunath, who runs a small provision store in Sunnadakeri in city. According to Manjunath, the girl developed a passion for writing when she was two years old. Her mother Latha taught her the nuances of the alphabets of various languages. “Shalini was able to write the Urdu alphabets with just  seven hours of practice,” he told Deccan Herald.

He explains that observing the interest of the child in alphabets, the couple decided to train her in multiple languages. About three months ago, she was able to write in four languages. Within a short span of time, she was able to acquaint with alphabets of nine more languages.  The couple taught her taking out a copy of the alphabets from the website. She can write from 1 to 200 in both the hands in real and mirror image at a time.

According to Manjunath, the girl can also write name of a person or place with both the hands simultaneously. She is also learning calligraphy from teacher Narayan.

Besides, she can render about 60-70 shlokas and short stories. Shalini also manages to draw two identical  and two different ‘rangoli’ and drawing in both hands. Recognising her talent, the Rotary school has also promoted the girl, even as many institutions and forums have honoured her.

Two Year Old Girl's 156 IQ - Elise Tan Roberts

Elise Tan-Roberts, who can also recite the phonetic alphabet and count to 10 in Spanish, has an IQ of 156.

The rating makes her smarter than former Countdown maths whiz and fellow Mensa member Carol Vorderman.

The toddler's other feats include spelling her name aloud, reading the words mummy and daddy, naming all three types of triangle and reciting the normal alphabet.

Mensa welcomes the top 2% of the population based on IQ. It normally only tests children aged 10 or above, but the society accepted Elise's membership based on an intelligence measure.

Child psychologist Professor Joan Freeman used the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale test, which found she was in the top 0.2% of her age in the country.

Mensa chief executive John Stevenage said: "(Elise's parents) now realise they have an interesting challenge on their hands as she grows up."

Elise's mother Louise, 28, from Edmonton, London, said she realised her daughter was different as soon as she was born.

She took "an unusual" interest in her surroundings, uttered her first word aged just five months and took her first steps at eight-and-a-half months.

The mother told the Daily Mirror: "She just says things and you have no idea where she got it from."

Prof Freeman said the child's memory was her great gift.

The psychologist was "extremely impressed she was able to reel off the capital cities" and the phonetic alphabet.

Mensa has about 24,000 members in the UK and Ireland - about 900 of whom are aged under 18.

As well as Carol Vorderman, whose IQ is 154, other famous members include DJ and TV presenter Sir Jimmy Savile and inventor Sir Clive Sinclair.

Blind five-year-old pianist from South Korea has stunned the music world after a video of her performance received more than 27million hits. Yoo Ye-eun, who was born blind and adopted in 2002, has never had a formal piano lesson but can play any song after just one listen.

And now her remarkable talent is set to propel her to stardom as clips of her amazing performance have attracted millions of viewers to Korean website Pandora TV. A similar clip on YouTube has so far received two million hits. Her display on 'Star King', a Korean talent show, earned the youngster £500 in prize money and moved the studio audience to tears.
