On 19 January 2010, Yichun City in China became the venue for Guinness World Records for The Tallest Ice Sculpture, which was 16.22 m (53 ft 2.58 in) tall, breaking the previous record of 14.83 meters.
This giant ice sculpture was in the shape of a dinosaur. It took about 120 people 20 days to complete the structure of the ice sculpture, using about 850 cubic meters of ice blocks.
