On 19 January 2010, Yichun City in China became the venue for Guinness World Records for The Largest Snowball Fight, and was achieved by 5060 participants, breaking the previous record of 3745 people. The participants were school students from Yichun City. The attempt was also the first of a series of events of the winter sports activities for youth and children in the cities.
