Lebanon has unveiled what it claims is the world's largest flag.
According to AFP, the military released a picture of the 65,000 square metre national flag taken from the air at Rayak air base yesterday.
A spokesman said that the Kuwait-manufactured item surpassed the existing record, set by Morocco, of 60,000 square metres.
It is believed that a Guinness World Records representative was present at the unfurling.
In recent years, Lebanon has claimed the world record for the largest potato and biggest dish of hummus.
